An adventurer who wants to become a better speaker and improve the communication skills that make the difference between success and failure in business and in life.

What is Toastmasters International?

A federation of over 7,000 clubs set up to provide training in communications and leadership. The organization started in 1924 in Santa Ana, California, when Dr. Ralph Smedley and a group of businessmen began meeting in the local YMCA to practice public speaking. They also wanted to "promote sociability and good fellowship among their members." Those goals, improving communication skills and sociability, are still basic to any Toastmasters club today.
